This list has 127 species/subspecies listed, 80 native species, 22 subspecies, and 26 exotic. Some of the "trees" are more shrub in nature but this was a judgment call, if it is woody and can be pruned into a tree I will consider it a tree for this list.

Distribution information is from Moe/Twisselmann, expert consultation, and personal experience. Common names from Jepson, CalFlora, and Twisselmann. Scientific names names from CalFlora and Moe. Photographs from personal collection.
